Rated up to 86% efficient, FX Series direct-vent, cast-iron, residential boilers have 29 in. footprint and use 100% outside air for combustion. They feature left- or right-side vent, gas, and air intake connections and feature non-corrosive, ceramic plaque burner. HydroTherm Offers New Line of High Efficiency Residential Gas Boilers
WESTFIELD, Mass., September 14, 2006 - HydroTherm has introduced the FX Series of high-efficiency gas-fired, direct-vent, cast-iron residential boilers. The new line is up to 86 percent efficient and features an easy-to-install and service design and a deluxe insulated metal jacket. All FX Series direct-vent boilers use 100% outside air for combustion to reduce heating costs and provide safe and dependable operation.
With a footprint of 29-inches, the new FX line is designed to fit the floor plan of any home. In addition, the boilers feature left or right side vent, gas and air intake connections, down fire design for higher efficiency and easy conversion from natural gas to propane. Designed for long-life and quiet performance, the FX Series line features a non-corrosive, ceramic plaque burner, and low NOx emissions. Models are combustible floor-ready and require no pan.
Sizes range from 70 to 210 MBH, the widest size range of any direct-vent, residential boiler on the market, enabling the FX Series to satisfy the heating needs of virtually any home.
Service-friendly features include easy access, top-mounted controls and terminal strip, and an integrated boiler control with diagnostic lights. Slide off panels allow for easy servicing.
