New Gas Distribution Manifold Maximizes Liquid Can, High-Pressure Cylinder Performance

Device Offers Industry's Lowest Dollar-Per-Cubic-Foot Manifold Capacity

July 15, 2005 - Virginia Beach, VA - CONCOA has introduced a new, high-efficiency gas distribution manifold designed for use with the company's line of 600 Series switchover/623 delivery systems.

Offering the industry's lowest dollar per cubic foot of manifold capacity, the 629 Series is a flexible gas distribution system that can be configured either for gaseous withdrawal or as a vent manifold. It is ideal for laser, metal fabrication, foundry, and defense industry applications.

Configured as a gas manifold with 1/2-inch internal diameter flow path, the 629 Series offers excellent gaseous flow capacity from either liquid cans or high-pressure cylinders to a CONCOA pressure control device. The 629 micro-manifold is available with 24- to 72-inch Teflon or stainless lined hoses for maximum application flexibility. It is also equipped with an integral safety disk for over-pressurization protection.

Configured as a vent manifold, the 629 Series provides headspace equalization for multiple liquid cylinders when used in conjunction with a 629/628 gaseous manifold, maximizing liquid can flow performance. Designed with excess flow orifices, it prevents the attached hoses from whipping during cylinder exchange. The vent manifold coupled with CONCOA's IntelliSwitch virtually eliminates liquid cylinder residual return losses by allowing equal withdrawal. Such capabilities render the 629 Series manifold the ideal choice for both liquid and high-pressure cylinder service.

The 629 Series manifold is constructed from 9-inch brass bar stock and weighs just 4.2 lbs. Offering four ¼-inch female NPT, it has one ½-inch female inlet port. The outlet connection is ½-inch male NPT with a 3,000 psig (210 BAR) maximum operating pressure. The manifold is operational from 0 to 140 F (-18 to 60 C).

Certified ISO 9001, CONCOA manufactures a complete quality line of gas pressure and flow control equipment and delivery systems for worldwide medical, industrial, and specialty gas applications as well as distribution equipment for laser materials processing.
