September 3, 2004 - PL EnviroPrep GPC Columns permit one-stage clean-up procedure, according to EPA Methods, for determination of pesticides in variety of matrices such as soil and animal tissue. Matrix is extracted and higher molecular weight fractions such as lipids, polymers, natural resins, and dispersed high molecular weight components are eliminated. Featuring 10 µm particle size and 100Ã… pore size, columns are useful for looking at low levels of pollutants.

New Columns for Environmental Sample Clean-up
For environmental sample clean-up according to EPA Methods, Polymer Laboratories has launched PL EnviroPrep high resolution GPC columns. PL EnviroPrep columns permit a simple one stage clean-up procedure for the determination of pesticides in a variety of organic matrices, eg soil and animal tissue, etc. The matrix is extracted and the higher molecular weight fractions such as lipids, polymers, natural resins and dispersed high molecular weight components are easily eliminated in the GPC analysis. Use of PL EnviroPrep columns permits higher sample loadings and fraction yields to be obtained, particularly useful for looking at low levels of pollutants.
PL EnviroPrep preparative columns with the 10µm particle size and 100Ã… pore size offer high resolution and high loading through optimization of the particle size distribution.
