Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry (GC/MS) capabilities rely on Frontier PY-2020iD Multi-shot Pyrolyzer to analyze various materials, including plastics, elastomers, polymers, paints, coatings, oils, greases, and other organic substances. Additionally, machine adds inlet techniques such as thermal desorption, pyrolysis, and evolved gas analysis to existing GC/MS capabilities, expanding ability to analyze additives, hazardous substances, and contaminants in diverse materials.

IMR Test Labs in NY Expands Polymer Analysis Capabilities
IMR Test Labs is pleased to announce the addition of a Frontier PY-2020iD Multi-shot Pyrolyzer to our Gas Chromatography / Mass Spectrometry capabilities.
The Frontier unit is used to analyze a wide variety of materials, including plastics, elastomers, polymers, paints, coatings, oils, greases, and other organic substances.
The addition of the Frontier PY-2020iD adds such inlet techniques as Thermal Desorption, Pyrolysis, and Evolved Gas Analysis to IMR's GC/MS capabilities, greatly expanding our ability to analyze for additives, hazardous substances, and contaminants in many materials.
As a solid-sampling technique, the unit permits such analyses to be performed with far less of the time consuming wet chemical preparation necessary with traditional GC/MS.
