Newport Beach, California - March 7, 2003 - Designed for durable service and safety, Silvertronic announces a full line of Fused Probes and Test Accessories ideally suited for use in power utility, electrical and industrial applications. Performance ratings range from 1000 volt CAT III and 600 volt CAT IV, to 300 volt CAT III, and are featured in Fused Probe Test Kits, specialized probes, DMM test leads and individual accessories. All are fully compliant with International Safety Standard IEC61010.
High quality fast acting ceramic fuses (or customer specific fuses) rated up to 10 amps are located near probe tips for optimal safety and can be easily replaced, compared to typical DMM fuse replacement. Robust design features highly flexible double insulated silicone leads resistant to corrosive chemicals and high temperatures. Leads feature a unique inner layer of insulation in a bright contrasting color that acts as a wear indicator, alerting electricians/technicians of potential safety hazards with damaged wire. Leads are available in six colors.
The new fused product line includes Standard and Deluxe Test Probe Kits, rated at 600 volts/CAT III, and 1000 volts/CAT III respectfully. The Deluxe Kits include two probes. a pair of heavy duty insulated alligator test clips, and are packaged in a convenient carrying pouch. Standard kits include paired fused probes.
For optimal test versatility, a complete line of fused and un-fused test accessories are also available, including various probe/tip styles, cable piercing probe tips, a full range of alligator clip styles and sizes, sprung hook and extended tips.
