November 5, 2004 - Fire suppression system provides fire protection at all major points of air flow inside fume cabinet. It features canister of fire suppression agent and flexible polymer detection tubing that can be routed anywhere inside cabinet. Upon exposure to 212°F flame, tubing ruptures and releases 1–50 lb of fire suppressant into fume hood. Self-contained system requires no electricity or external power, but can turn off power or signal alarm.

Capable of discharging from 1 to 50 lbs. of a fire suppression agent, depending upon the system, Firetrace Fume Hood Fire Suppression Systems are totally self-contained, require no electricity or external power, but can turn-off power or signal an alarm. UL listed and FM-approved, they can be supplied with FM-200, CO2, dry chemical powders, and foam suppressants.
