Fuel stability in general has not improved in recent years while engines have become much more fuel sensitive. The introduction of ultra low sulfur fuel and the increasing use of bio-fuels have negatively impacted fuel stability and caused a dramatic increase in filter plugging and injection system failures. The new and innovative SMART
FPS systems eliminate & prevent these problems. They eliminate microbial contamination, keep your tanks clean and your fuel in pristine "clear & bright" condition at all times.
For flexibility in optimizing engine room space, the systems are equipped with an innovative modular "plug & play" Smart Filtration Controller, the SFC-50, that is derived from our industrial line of fuel conditioning & filtration systems. It features a programmable PLC with text interface; color coded large alarm indicator lights and a wiring harness that easily plugs into the system, so that it can be mounted in any convenient location.
The SFC-50 is designed for remote monitoring & control of safety and alarm functions. It is ready to interface with your vessel's monitoring and management computer system. Smart FPS Systems are available in several standard models with a choice of primary filters e.g. Racor & Separ. They have stainless steel plumbing and are mounted on a corrosion proof powder coated aluminum back-plate with a drip tray and cover.
