BEHLMAN (Hauppauge, NY) expands the family of high power BL's with the introduction of the BL-Plus series of frequency converters. The BL-Plus supplies clean, regulated, high power AC in a single cabinet that requires very little floor space. These low cost, efficient units are ideal for industrial product testing, airborne and shipboard equipment testing.
The BL-Plus series incorporates multi-pulse input rectification
and provides for low input current distortion. Input startup surges are reduced through the use of special soft start
circuitry and isolation is provided by the input transformer. Output voltage of 0-132 VAC, L-N is standard. Optional output transformers are available for other voltages. Standard output frequency is fixed at 50 Hz, 60 Hz or 400 Hz and variable from 45 to 500 Hz.
Additional features include input electronic circuit breaker, short circuit and thermal protection and a "constant current mode" that automatically causes voltage fold back to provide maximum current without distorting the output waveform.
