New Compact CameraLink Frame Grabber from STEMMER IMAGING

The new Xcelera-CL LX1 Base, a low cost, entry-level Camera Link frame grabber is now available from STEMMER IMAGING. It is easy to set up and use, delivers highly reliable image acquisition and offers extensive software support. The latest addition to DALSA's X64 Xcelera(TM) Series, this compact new frame grabber is a quarter-length PCI Express x1 Board and so is ideal for applications where space on the bus is limited.

Fully compliant with Camera Link (V. 1.20) specifications and Power Over Camera Link(r) (PoCL), the Xcelera-CL LX1 offers exceptional value for money. It supports single Base cameras and can acquire images from a wide variety of multi-tap area and line scan, color and monochrome cameras. The PCIe point-to-point host interface allows simultaneous image acquisition and transfer with little intervention from the host CPU.

The Xcelera-CL LX1 Base operates within DALSA's Trigger-to-Image Reliability technology framework and combines acquisition and external control signals on a single PCIe slot. Trigger-to-Image Reliability is a design framework that guarantees the reliability of the image acquisition system. It contributes to efficient machine vision system design and operation by supplying the key design elements needed to secure the image acquisition process, permit error identification, and provide a recovery mechanism if errors do occur.

The Xcelera-CL LX1 Base is also supplied with a free run-time license for DALSA's Sapera(tm) Essential standard machine vision software toolkit for the design and development of high-performance machine vision applications. Sapera Essential bundles board level acquisition and control with over 400 image processing functions including 1D/2D barcodes, OCR, pattern finding, color analysis, blob analysis and lens correction tools.
