ADLINK Introduces 2-CH PCI Express® IEEE 1394.b Frame Grabber

PCIe-FIW62: 800 Mbps transfer rates and locking camera connectors for machine vision applications

March 27, 2008, Taipei Taiwan. ADLINK Technology Inc. (TAIEX:6166) announces the release of the PCIe-FIW62, a PCI Express® IEEE1394.b frame grabber designed specifically for area scan color / monochrome inspection applications, such as PCB inspection and FPD surface inspection. The PCIe-FIW62 supports IEEE 1394.b-based cameras via two high-speed IEEE 1394.b ports, providing point-to-point data transmission of up to 800 Mbps through a PCI Express® x1 lane.

The PCIe-FIW62 ensures reliable connections with up to two cameras through direct-connect IEEE1394.b connectors which are designed with a screw-locking mechanism to make certain the IEEE 1394.b cables will not vibrate loose. Each connector is also equipped with an LED to conveniently display camera connection status.

ADLINK also offers IEEE 1394.b compliant shielded cables to reduce signal noise. These IEEE 1394.b cables also provide an improved signal-to-noise ratio and reduced wiring cost (including both power supply and image data transmission wiring) over analog cables.

ADLINK provides complete vision hardware packages which cameras, frame grabber cards, and all related accessories. ADLINK Frame grabber
