MWV Expands the Customization Possibilities of its Fragrance Solutions
BOLOGNA, ITALY (April 2, 2009) - Creativity, design, technicality and flexibility are the key drivers behind MWV's (NYSE: MWV) enhancements to its Calmar Melodie® pump and Clikit(TM) IP fragrance solutions, showcased today at Cosmoprof 2009 in Bologna, the
premier international beauty and cosmetics show. The enhancements to the company's pump and spray solutions give customers in the masstige and prestige markets more opportunities to customize and differentiate their packaging to make their brands stand out on the shelf.
Launched in Spring 2008, Clikit IP, a high-end, cost-effective, resininjected
version of the company's market-leading Melodie Clikit pump, is now available with a wider array of decorative finishes and high-end aesthetic coatings, including Iridescence, Sparkle, Soft touch, Metalized lacquering and custom printing of any pattern or image through Sublimation. These finishes provide countless opportunities for differentiation, and are essential in elevating the presentation of the
pump for a luxurious look and feel.
MWV also expanded the range of dimensions of its Melodie pump to offer a solution for bottle neck diameters of 17mm, 18mm and 20mm, in addition to its 13mm and 15 mm sizes, along with a proportionately-sized actuator higher than the existing 15mm. These increased diameters for Melodie are ideally suited for markets where fragrances are sold in larger formats or for bulkier men's fragrance packs responding to an expanding male grooming market.
