New Technology Allows Kent Elastomer To Extend Life Of Natural Latex Tubing
Kent, Ohio. . .Kent Elastomer Products, the world's leading manufacturer of dipped natural rubber latex tubing, has unveiled a new process technology designed to triple the life of natural latex tubing.
The new formulation, dubbed K-911, can triple the life expectancy of natural latex tubing by blocking ozone gases and ultra-violet light that can degrade tubing over time through cracking and other damage.
This new process does not impact the preferred physical properties that customers have come to expect from natural rubber latex. In addition, the K-911 formula assures that the tubing will keep its natural smooth appearance and feel with minimal fading or cracking for up to three times longer.
The company states that for applications where strength, memory and the ability to withstand exposure to the elements are a concern. K-911 tubing may be ideal. Other features include reduction of cracking around fittings, better gas and vapor permeability, improved chemical resistance and superior weather resistance. Color matching is also available upon request.
