Designed for food-handling applications, GGL3060 features corrosion-resistant, stainless steel design that is sealed to IP69K standards and withstands high-pressure and high-temperature washdown cleanings. Angular design provides up to 24 lb-ft of gripping torque, and ability to swing open to 180° enables jaws to clear material below gripper. Solution meets DIN 1672-2 guidelines for hygienic food production machinery, and also features jaw position sensors.

New Specialized Gripper Expands Product Line into "Food-Handling" Business
(NEW HYDE PARK, NY; September 25, 2008) - The newest edition to the Techno-Sommer Automatic product line is the GGL3060 "Food" gripper. Designed specifically for food-handling applications the GGL3060 is sealed according to IP69K standards, allowing it to withstand both high-pressure and high-temperature (wash down) cleanings. The Techno GGL3060 gripper has a compact form with a matching corrosion-resistant, stainless steel design. It also meets DIN 1672-2 guidelines for hygienic food production machinery, making it food safe.
This specialized gripper features jaws that swing open to a full 180°. This makes it very easy to have the gripper clear material below it. Additionally, the angular design of this gripper provides up to 33Nm (24lbft) of gripping torque and the unit includes sensors that sense jaw position.
