Convaid launched an improved Cruiser® wheelchair which is a lightweight compact folding wheelchair that is transit ready and WC19 compliant. The new Cruiser® has a range of new features and accessories and a WC19 safety approval specifically to assist users and caregivers during patient transportation. The original Cruiser® lightweight wheelchair has been very successful with both pediatric and adults because of its light weight and ability to fold up easily and fit in confined spaces. The new Cruiser's® sleek silver frame and stylish new upholstery comes in a variety of colors panther black, true red, purple, forest green, Mediterranean blue, deep burgundy, Nile green, yellow and pink (please check availability when ordering) The specially designed padded upholstery provides added comfort for the patient and with a one-piece, angle adjustable push handle for easy maneuvering of the wheelchair by the caregiver.
The new Cruiser® wheelchair has an under seat storage basket & side bags provides additional storage for convenience when traveling. An improved head and neck support and calf panel all provide additional comfort to the patient. The tires have be upgraded to 11.5" x 2.5" inch solid rear tire and 7.5" x 2" inch front tire with in-depth seat positioning provides excellent mobility and all day seating.
The Cruiser® compact folding wheelchair comes in 10", 12", 14", 16" and 18" inch seat sizes for individuals up to 250 lbs. The Medicaid ID and HCPCS code is E1236 and the Cruiser® comes with a Convaid lifetime warranty.
