Cleveland - The Lincoln Electric Company has reengineered its LincolnweldŽ 888(TM) flux for excellent operation in critical multi-arc welding applications typical of the offshore, pressure vessel, shipbuilding and structural fabrication industries.
The flux is specifically designed for low alloy and mild steel as-welded and stress relieved applications. It is engineered to handle up to five welding arcs and has optimal slag removal from deep grooves and narrow gaps.
Lincolnweld 888 flux is classified to meet AWS H4 requirements for low diffusible hydrogen levels - under 4 mL/100 grams of weld metal. It yields excellent cap-pass impact properties and features improved packaging for enhanced moisture resistance.
