March 8, 2005 - Gas-shielded Tri-Mark® TM-910 is specifically designed for use with high argon shielding gas mixtures, such as 95% Argon/5% CO2 or 75% Argon/25% CO2, while maintaining deep penetration for general fabrication and shipyard welding applications. Optimized for all-position welding, wire maintains mechanical properties through high heat input/slow cooling rate applications and low heat input/high cooling rate applications.

Hobart Brothers’ Tri-Mark® TM-910 Gas Shielded Flux-Cored Wire Optimized for All Position Welding

-Offers reduced spatter and fumes

-Uses Argon/CO2 mixes from 75% to 95% Argon

-Stabilized arc for improved control

-Easy slag removal

TROY, Ohio. February 15, 2004—To reduce spatter and lower fume levels on E71T-1 type applications, Hobart Brothers introduces its Tri-Mark® TM-910 gas shielded flux-cored wire. The TM-910 all-position wire is specifically designed for use with high argon shielding gas mixtures, such as 95 percent Argon/5 percent CO2 (or 75 percent Argon/25 CO2, while maintaining deeper penetration for general fabrication and shipyard welding applications.

The TM-910 is well suited for a wide range of welding conditions on both large and small applications. Specifically, the wire maintains its mechanical properties through high heat input/slow cooling rate applications and low heat input/high cooling rate applications.

Deeper Penetration, Lower Fumes and Versatility

TM-910 wire provides deeper penetration and lower fume levels to create a more worker-friendly environment. Tim Hensley, tubular wire product manager for Hobart Brothers, explains, “Welders will find that they are more comfortable using TM-910 because the wire creates significantly less smoke without sacrificing penetration or weld quality when high levels of argon are used in the shielding gas.”

TM-910 wire is optimized for all-position welding and improved efficiency on a wide range of applications. When the wire is used with higher levels of Argon, the amount of spatter is significantly reduced, as is the amount of time necessary for cleanup. “TM-910 is a good alternative for anyone who is using a E71T-1 wire and wants to lower the amount of labor and time needed for post-weld cleanup,” says Hensley. Further, the TM-910 wire offers versatility to shops currently running solid and/or metal cored applications using Argon/CO2 shielding gas—operators can use the same shielding gas for the TM-910’s flux-cored applications, a factor that reduces costs by eliminating the need for additional gas delivery systems.
