Unit has sealed trigger, rotatable Hi-Viz(TM) neck to optimize weld puddle visibility, and internal trigger leads that prevent trigger cord from tangling with surrounding equipment. New Dura-Flux(TM) Self-Shielded Flux-Cored Gun Eases Maintenance, Reduces Downtime
BEECHER, Ill. -Bernard has introduced its new Dura-Flux(TM) Gun with replaceable power cable liner. This self-shielded flux-cored arc welding (FCAW-S) gun allows quick and easy power cable maintenance, and provides operators with 350 amps of welding capability at 60 percent duty cycle.
The Dura-Flux Gun with replaceable liner features an advanced handle design that helps reduce downtime associated with operator fatigue and it is available with an optional dual schedule switch. The dual schedule switch allows for easy wire feed speed adjustment while welding and is integrated into the handle to protect it from weld spatter. The gun's trigger is sealed to protect from outside contaminants and has been designed for simple replacement should it become damaged. The trigger also absorbs less heat than a traditional metal trigger to increase arc-on time, lower heat input and extend component life.
Additional features that Bernard has incorporated into the Dura-Flux Gun with replaceable liner include a lightweight, rotatable Hi-Viz(TM) neck to improve weld puddle visibility and internal trigger leads that prevent the trigger cord from becoming tangled on surrounding equipment. The gun also features the exclusive Quik Tip(TM) Series consumables from Bernard. The Quik Tip Series consumables are designed with a threaded taper lock that increases contact tip life by providing excellent heat transfer and electrical conductivity, and they can be installed or changed over with a simple twist after a burnback.
The Dura-Flux Gun with replaceable liner can be configured with a variety of cable length and neck options. It is also adaptable for use with multiple styles of wire feeders from major manufacturers.
