Designed to weld UNS S41500 wrought stainless steel, CA-6NM (UNS J91540) cast steel, and similar 13Cr4NiMo steels, Shield-Bright 410NiMo all-position, gas-shielded, flux-cored electrode facilitates fabrication and repair of hydroelectric turbine runners and related components. It features spray-like transfer that enhances arc characteristics while minimizing post-weld clean up and rework. Available in .045 and 1/16 in. dia, product can be used with 75% Argon/25% CO2 shielding gas.

ESAB Introduces Flux Cored Electrode for Wrought Stainless Steel
Florence, SC - ESAB Welding & Cutting Products introduces Shield-Bright 410NiMo, an all-position, gas-shielded, flux-cored electrode designed for the fabrication and repair of hydroelectric turbine runners and related components. Shield-Bright 410NiMo features a spray-like transfer that enhances the arc characteristics while minimizing post-weld clean up and rework. User-friendly characteristics make Shield-Bright 410 easy to use and deliver consistent quality welds. Self-peeling slag facilitates easy clean up. Together, these characteristics minimize production costs and improve performance efficiency.
Shield-Bright 410NiMo was designed to weld UNS S41500 wrought stainless steel, CA-6NM (UNS J91540) cast steel and similar 13Cr4NiMo steels commonly used on hydroelectric turbines. These base metals are also used in the petroleum industry for wellhead and valve applications under sour-gas conditions. Shield-Bright 410NiMo's corrosion resistant properties make it an ideal choice for martensitic and martensitic ferritic castings as well as anywhere cavitation wear may be caused by corrosion from rapidly flowing water.
Shield-Bright 410NiMo is designed for use with 75% Argon/25% CO2 shielding gas and when used with this gas meets or exceeds the AWS A5.22, Class E410NiMoT1-4 properties. It can be certified to the "H4" hydrogen designation currently required by fabricators of martensitic and martensitic ferritic castings. This electrode is available in .045" (1.2 mm) and 1/16" (1.6 mm) diameters.
