Micromold Introduces Fluoropolymer Tri-Clamp Strainers

Micromold Products Inc. announces a complete line of fluoropolymer strainers with Tri-Clamp connections for use in the pharmaceutical and other chemical process industries where these connections support ease of removal and cleaning.

Available in both PTFE and Kynar® PVDF, the product line encompasses both Y-strainers in nominal pipe size up to 4" and basket strainers up to 3". Utilizing Tefzel® PTFE meshes and FEP encapsulated O-Rings, the strainers feature 100% fluoropolymer wetted surfaces, easily removable cartridges, and drain plugs for less maintenance.

Standard Tefzel® meshes range from 300 to 1,800 microns, but Micromold prides itself on customization and can provide a variety of other mesh sizes and materials. Other custom options include "mix and match" end connections and drilled holes rather than mesh. The strainers are also available with ANSI or metric flanges, or NPT or G type (BSPT) threaded connections. PVDF units are also available with IPS or metric socket weld connections.

In business since 1950, Micromold Products, Inc., www.micromold.com, manufactures a broad line of highly corrosion resistant fluid-flow equipment, including pipe, tube and fittings; valves; strainers; reaction and process vessel accessories such as nozzle liners and thermowells as well as flanged and Tri-Clamp dip pipes and spargers; tanks; and custom fabricated parts - emphasizing the fluoropolymers, PTFE, PVDF, PFA and FEP.
