New Indirect Wall/Partition Mounted Fluorescent Luminaire

El Monte, CA (April 29, 2002) - Los Angeles Lighting, a leading innovator of energy efficient fluorescent lighting fixtures for industrial, retail and office use, today announced its LCD201, a family of partition mounted fluorescent lights. This new series of office luminaires delivers indirect clear white light using T8 and T5 fluorescent lamps mounted on top of modular room partitions to provide aesthetically pleasing soft lighting for today's office environment. The LCD201's 1-3/4 to 4 inch adjustable mounting brackets and many stylish colors make it ideal for any open office spaces with panel systems, stacking system, or freestanding modular furniture used to create executive offices, team spaces, reception and bullpen areas as well as record and supply storage.

The LCD201, with its indirect lighting design, delivers this soft luminescence across all surfaces in a configurable mounting packaging that has an adjustable bracket so it can be mounted on any partition. The 2-lamp units come in a variety of finishes and 2 or 4-foot lengths to match the many segmented or monolithic walls used in modular office spaces. The different style acrylic lenses that covers each fixture further enhance aesthetics and maintenance of the lights. A selection of power connections, either hard wired for area switch control or power cord and rocker switch for individual unit control, round out the
universality of the LCD201 luminaire.

The LCD201 is designed to meet the demand of lighting designers that want office interiors to strike a balance between even luminance across all work surfaces without bothersome luminance extremes that cause distracting, eye tiresome glare. The new light series does this by delivering sufficient natural-like luminance to accentuate color variations and provide a stimulating, attractive environment.

Price and Availability

The LCD201 series of indirect luminaires is manufactured to order and is available in typically 2 weeks or less. Suggested contractor price of the base fixture starts at $300.00 with a minimum order of 50 units. Volume discounts are available. Prices will also vary depending on the type of ballast, number of lamps in a fixture and accessories.
