Emerson Process Management Unveils Rosemount Analytical SBX1000 Oxygen Transmitter

Analyzer offers cost-effective integration of field electronics and reliable oxygen measurements

ORRVILLE, OHIO (February 16, 2005) - Emerson Process Management has added the Rosemount Analytical SBX1000 to its family of reliable flue gas oxygen analyzers. Integrating an oxygen probe and field electronics into a single package, the SBX1000 offers a cost-effective solution for optimizing the fuel-to-air ratio at process temperatures up to 1300° F (700° C). The SBX1000 inserts directly into the flue gas duct to provide fast, accurate and reliable measurements - with no sampling system required.

The electronics housing and probe is an integral unit, eliminating the need to mount separate electronics, or run cable between the probe and electronics and requires no calibration at set up. In addition to operating in temperatures up to 185° F (85° C), the electronics on the SBX1000 require 95 percent less power to operate than traditional electronics.

The advanced sensor diagnostics alarm indicates when calibration is recommended, saving time and costs associated with extra calibrations. When service is required, the SBX1000 is fully field-repairable with convenient access to internal probe components. The probe contains no potentiometer adjustments or jumpers and the cell and heater/thermocouple are fully field-replaceable.

Other features of the SBX1000 Oxygen Analyzer, include

o Typical accuracy of ± 1.5 percent of reading
o Vertical or horizontal mounting capabilities
o Rugged steel cell holder for increased durability
o Low maintenance and installation costs
