July 8, 2002 - FPC 16 three-port pressure compensated priority divider cartridge provides pressure compensated flow to priority port. It bypasses excess flow to tank or other work functions. Bypass or excess flow port can be plugged. In applications where bypass flow is used for additional work, priority flow is unaffected by pressure changes in bypass circuit. Valve operating pressure is 3,000 psi max. Priority flow range is from 1 to 30 gpm. Total input flow can be up to 40 gpm.

Source Fluid Power Expands Line of Motorized Flow Controls Introduces the FPC 16

Continuing to expand the company's product line of Motorized Flow Controls, Source Fluid Power introduces the FPC 16, a three-port pressure compensated priority divider cartridge.

The FPC 16 provides pressure compensated flow to the priority port with excess flow bypassed to tank or to other work functions. The bypass or excess flow port can be plugged so the valve functions as a two-port, pressure compensated flow control. In applications where bypass flow is used for additional work, the priority flow is unaffected by pressure changes in the bypass circuit.

Since the FPC 16 can operate as both a three-port or two-port cartridge, it offers more versatility and flexibility. It also occupies less space in a manifold circuit as it requires no external compensator element.

"It is more economical for many applications since it is an all in one cartridge," said Source Engineer Pat Novak.

The ideal application is any circuit requiring pressure compensated flow control to one function with excess flow diverted downstream or to tank. A few of the applications include conveyor drives and salt and sand spreaders. The FPC 16 is ideal for the construction equipment, agricultural and industrial markets.

Valve operating pressure is 3000 PSI max. with a priority flow range from 1 to 30 GPM. Total input flow can be up to 40 GPM. The operating speed from fully closed to fully open @ 12 VDC is 3.5, 7, 24, or 48 seconds.

In addition to the company's complete line of motorized flow and pressure controls, Source Fluid Power manufactures standard & custom manifolds, custom-made cylinders, and valve packages for the mobile OEM market for over 20 years. Source Fluid Power has earned the reputation of selling solutions by creating unique products that serve customer needs.
