Introducing the Sequel: New Cylindrical Floor Machine Lighter with More Capacity and Ergonomics
Chicago, IL - September 30, 2009 - Tornado Industries® is introducing the second generation Vario cylindrical floor machine - the Vario II - at the upcoming ISSA/INTERCLEAN® North America tradeshow to be held October 6-9 in Chicago.
Tornado introduced the original machine to the U.S. market nearly 10 years ago. The Vario differs from conventional floor machines because it uses counter-rotating cylindrical brushes instead of a rotary pad, to strip, scrub, and polish floors.
Compared to rotary machines, which provide more surface-level cleaning, cylindrical brush technology has proven to be effective at penetrating and deep-cleaning grout and porous floors.
This allows the machine to clean uneven floors and rubber "studded" floors.
Cylindrical machines also use less water and chemical than conventional machines and users report less training and effort is required to operate cylindrical brush floor machines.
"The Vario II has many of the same features as our original machine, but with some [engineering] upgrades," says Jolynn Kennedy, marketing manager for Tornado.
Among the upgrades she mentions are:
o Large rear wheels for easier transport and maneuvering
o A solution tank that is almost four times larger in capacity
o Eliminated nearly 10 pounds in equipment weight
o Redesigned control handle for greater comfort and ergonomics.
"The new Vario II will be one of our 'stars' at the [ISSA] tradeshow and I really think users will find it impressive," adds Kennedy. "A lot of time and effort has gone into this machine and [we believe] users will appreciate all our efforts."
