Installed in sub-floor, Carlon® Residential Drop-In Floor Box minimizes exposure of electrical and data communications cords. Kit includes non-metallic box and aluminum or brass cover, as well as 15 A power receptacle, low-voltage and blank inserts, mounting screws, and wire nuts. Providing 11.8 in.³ capacity, box also has integral cable clamp that secures non-metallic sheathed cable. Both aluminum and brass covers are brushed and lacquered for added protection.

New Aluminum Cover Offers Flexibility to Blend with Current Design Trends
MEMPHIS, Tenn., - Residential builders now have a quick and easy way to install power and communications outlets where they are needed most with the Carlon® Residential Drop-In Floor Box from Thomas & Betts. The new, brushed-aluminum cover is an additional option to the Carlon family of brass floor box covers, offering builders more selection in matching contemporary interior design trends.
Quickly and easily installed in residential wood sub-floors, the Carlon Residential Drop-In Floor Box reduces the exposure of unsightly electrical and data-communications cords. The Residential Drop-In Floor Box kits include a nonmetallic box and an aluminum or brass cover, as well as a power receptacle, low-voltage and blank inserts, mounting screws and wire nuts. An optional hole saw also is available.

The 11.8 cubic-inch capacity boxes are pre-wired with a 15-amp single receptacle and include low-voltage inserts for up to two Keystone devices. The box incorporates an integral cable clamp to secure nonmetallic-sheathed cable. Both the aluminum and brass covers are brushed and lacquered for added protection and durability.
