Heavy-duty, flexible arms are made of spring steel and covered with vinyl to protect them from contaminants that would lessen their holding power. Offered with direct or magnetic mounting base, shields have transparent portion constructed of 3/16 in. thick clear polycarbonate.

New Flexible-Arm Shields
Rockford, Illinois—Rockford Systems adds flexibility to its shields product line with its new flexible-arm shields. These shields can be used on lathes, drills, small mills, grinders, band saws, or similar equipment including woodworking machines. The heavy-duty, flexible arms are made of spring steel and are covered with vinyl to protect them from grease, oil, and contaminants that would weaken their holding power.
The transparent portion of these shields is constructed of 3/16"-thick clear polycarbonate. The shield places a barrier between an operator and the flying chips (swarf), sparks, and coolant generated at the point of operation. The flexible-arm shields are available with two styles of mounting base: direct mount or magnetic.
