INSURANCE TELEMATICS USA 2013, CHICAGO -- Intelligent Mechatronic Systems (IMS), a leading Connected Car(TM) company, previewed its next generation IMS Fleet Intelligence solution at Insurance Telematics USA 2013.
IMS Fleet Intelligence provides a highly accurate solution at a competitive, all-in-one price point for fleets of all sizes. The initial feature set is ideal for the underserved, smaller-sized fleet market of two to fifty vehicles and includes real-time vehicle location, behavior-based events and alerts (speeding, acceleration and braking), fuel consumption, idle time information, trip distances, shift tracking using smartphones, and customized vehicle/driver reporting.
Since IMS Fleet Intelligence is built on the IMS DriveSync® Connected Car(TM) platform, this technology also extends into Usage-Based Insurance (UBI), providing a fleet-oriented UBI solution for commercial lines insurers. Commercial lines insurers now have the opportunity to provide their small fleet businesses with actuarial-grade data by offering a fleet management portal to their customers.
