March 15, 2005 - Radially mounted around metal shank or hub, Flap Wheels are manufactured from aluminum oxide resin bond abrasive. Wheels for hand-held power tool applications are supplied with 1/8 or Ό in. straight round shanks or Όβ20 quick change threaded shanks. Shank mounted flap wheels range from 3/8β3 in. in diameter and 3/8β2 in. in width, while flap wheels with metal hubs range from ½β10 in. in diameter and 1β3 in. in width. Grit sizes from 40β320 are available.

New Even Cut Flap Wheels Give Consistent Cut and Finish
CLEVELAND β March 2005 β Even Cut Abrasive Company, a leading supplier of abrasive specialty products to the industrial market for over 75 years, offers a complete line of flap wheels.
Radially mounted around a metal shank or hub, flap wheels are balanced and smooth-running, producing a consistent cut and fine consistent finish throughout the life of the wheel.
Flap wheels are ideal for contour work, blending, finishing, deburring and polishing of both ferrous and nonferrous metals, wood and plastics. Smaller shank-mounted flap wheels also can be used for cleaning and deburring the inside hole diameters.
Manufactured from premium aluminum oxide resin bond abrasive, the wheels for hand-held power tool applications are supplied with 1/8" or 1/4" straight round shanks or with
1/4-20 quick change threaded shanks. Flap wheels with metal hubs are for spindle mounting on stationary machines.
Shank mounted flap wheels are available in the following sizes: 3/8" to 3" in diameter and 3/8" to 2" in width. Threaded shanks have diameters ranging 1" to 3" and width sizes of 1/2" to 2". Flap wheels with metal hubs have diameter sizes of 3-1/2" to 10" and width sizes of 1" to 3". The flap wheels have grit sizes ranging from 40 to 320.
