January 11, 2008 - Suited for wide range of medical, military, power generation, and computer networking applications, filter media meets stringent UL 94 HF-1 flame safety rating, and complies with Telcordia NEBS GR-63-CORE, UL 900 Class 2, ATCA, micro TCA, ETSI, CE, and RoHS standards. Disposable, lightweight, and thin media also suits space-constrained electronics cooling applications, as well as large applications, where increased surface area reduces face velocity and captures dust.

New Flame-Retardant, Low Initial Resistance Filter Media from UAF

Universal Air Filter is launching a new, increased airflow media that meets the stringent UL 94 HF-1 flame safety rating while being flexible enough for a wide range of medical, military, power generation, and computer networking applications.

This new media is a disposable, less expensive alternative media with lower pressure drop and increased airflow, and is perfect for electronics cooling applications where space is limited. Lightweight and thin, this media will also work well in larger applications where increased surface area reduces face velocity and captures more dust. In addition, this new product also meets the self-extinguishing flame safety requirements of UL 94 HF-1, so CE Compliance is satisfied.

Universal Air Filter has an impressive track record in rack mount, telco, medical, military, and enterprise server applications, and offers a free prototype service to design engineers worldwide at www.uaf.com. An Internet-submitted prototype request, quick phone call, fax or e-mail is all it takes to get the process started. The free prototype is then produced and shipped within five working days.

This Universal Air Filter product meets the following standards and classifications: Telcordia NEBS GR-63-CORE; UL 94 HF-1; UL 900 Class 2; ATCA; micro TCA; ETSI; CE; and is RoHS Compliant.
