Phihong Announces New Wall-Plug Adapter Series for Small Appliance Applications
Based on its best-selling 2.75W adapter, Phihong’s PSM03A Series is available in five voltage outputs
Fremont, CA – Phihong USA, the world’s leading supplier of power adapters for global OEMs, has expanded its 2.75W power adapter offering to include a new series of small, fixed wall-plug adapters with standard DC cords. Based on its best-selling PSM03A USB chargers, Phihong’s new PSM03A series is available in 5, 7.5, 9, 10 and 12V outputs and features a CC/CV function, making it ideal for battery charging in applications such as medical testing equipment, personal electronics, cameras and cordless tools.
“As manufacturers strive for greater efficiency, products require less power, and Phihong is committed to developing solutions that meet the needs of these new applications,” said Keith Hopwood, vice president of marketing for Phihong. “We have expanded our best-selling USB charger series to include five new models with DC cords for applications that require more than a 5V output.”
Phihong’s new PSM03A fixed wall-plug adapters are compact, low-profile and are fully equipped with over-voltage protection, over-current protection and short-circuit protection. The Class B EMI wall-plugs are also compliant with UL safety regulations, featuring a no-load power draw of less than 0.15W, and meet the requirements for a Level V efficiency rating.
The PSM03A adapters with DC cords measure 39.4mm x 43mm x 21mm and weigh 45g. Their DC cords are 1500mm long and are terminated by a standard, center-positive, straight barrel connector. Additional DC tips are available and may be substituted to suit individual applications, with no minimum order quantity.
