Gardner Bender Introduces Ergonomic Upperhandâ„¢ Fish Tape
MILWAUKEE (MARCH 2004) - Gardner Bender announced the introduction of UPPERhandâ„¢, the first ergonomically-designed fish tape. The new product exhibits a unique, heavy-duty nylon handle specifically designed to reduce wrist and forearm strain and an innovative interior section design to improve grip by focusing on the palm of the hand rather than traditional finger-grip construction.
The UPPERhandâ„¢ delivers outstanding durability with an impact resistant ABS housing. Extensive product durability testing was conducted, including 20-foot drop tests, and the UPPERhandâ„¢ did not have a single failure. The product is also available with a rubber over-molding on the handle and the interior grip.
UPPERhandâ„¢ is available in three tape sizes: 65-feet, 125-feet and 250-feet, all with corrosion resistant, plated, carbon steel. The new, extra-length tape sizes deliver added value to the contractor.
Dave Wiesemann, Senior Product Manager for Gardner Bender, stated "The UPPERhandâ„¢ truly represents our approach to new product development. We are committed to revolutionary thinking, going beyond function and delivering product that address durability, usage, speed safety and increased profitability for our end-users. Wiesemann concluded, "The UPPERhandâ„¢ is easier to use, more durable and ergonomically designed to reduce wrist and arm strain. We listened to contractors in the filed and we are excited about this introduction."
