Cooper Notification Releases Wheelock Exceder(TM) Series of Notification Appliances

Long Branch, N.J., September 22, 2009 - Cooper Notification, an operating unit of Cooper Industries plc (NYSE:CBE), announced today the launch of their new line of Wheelock fire notification appliances under the brand Exceder(TM). The Exceder(TM) series of strobes, horns and horn strobes for wall and ceiling mount applications offer the best combination of features. The eight candela settings and five mounting options on one appliance provide industry first innovation and the lowest total cost of ownership. Equipped with visible candela windows on the outside of the appliances, tool-less setting changes, voltage test points, dual 12/24 VDC operation and a universal mounting base with multiple mounting options, this new line of Exceder(TM) strobes, horns and horn strobes are easy to install, and allow for quick inspection and routine maintenance. The mounting base includes a contact cover to protect contacts from dirt and paint and allows the ability to shunt the circuit to check for common wiring errors.
