MedAir(TM) AB Announces the Launch of OxyCheck(TM) Fingertip Pulse Oximeter

DELSBO, Sweden, July 6 -- MedAir AB announced the launch of its OxyCheck(TM) fingertip pulse oximeter, a medical monitoring device that performs fast and accurate measurement of oxygen saturation and pulse rate. The product, value priced at $199 USD, will be distributed worldwide to clinicians and patients.

MedAir AB expects that OxyCheck will offer a performance solution to a competitive global marketplace that has recently seen an increase in low- priced oximeters. OxyCheck has undergone extensive testing by independent laboratories to prove its accuracy and durability and also has CE Mark.

"The importance of oximeter accuracy cannot be overstated," says Sigvard Weisbjerg, managing director, MedAir AB. "Emergency medical and clinical health care providers need the ability to accurately measure blood oxygen saturation to determine precisely when and how to deliver care. It is equally critical that patients on supplemental oxygen receive accurate readings in order make the proper adjustments to their oxygen flow. While the cost of oximetry is an important consideration, accuracy is too critical to be sacrificed. OxyCheck meets the requirements for both accuracy and cost-efficiency."

OxyCheck delivers fast and accurate readings. Other features include; durability, the ability to fit a range of finger sizes from pediatric to adult, and use of standard AAA batteries. The device also passes IPX2 testing against water ingress.

Today's medical community knows MedAir for its accurate and easy-to- operate capnography and pulse oximetry monitors. The LifeSense(R) multi- parameter monitor, introduced in 2001, brought WIDESCREEN(TM) technology to hospitals across Europe and Southeast Asia.
