Field Integration Repurposes Existing Hardware Investments to Create Open iSCSI SANs
BOULDER, Colo., Oct. 16 -- LeftHand Networks® has introduces a SAN/iQ field integration offering for HP ProLiant DL380 servers that loads SAN/iQ storage management software on existing server hardware to create storage modules within an open iSCSI SAN.
True to the open iSCSI SAN mission, field integration delivers SAN/iQ software as a product that can be installed on new or existing HP ProLiant DL380 servers. Customers can purchase SAN/iQ software through established sales channels. The software is then integrated in the field by LeftHand Networks' authorized deployment partners. Open iSCSI SANs utilize industry-standard hardware platforms, such as the ProLiant DL380, to create best-of-breed storage networks.

With SAN/iQ field integration, customers have the ability to turn past ProLiant DL380 purchases into a new iSCSI SAN, or add storage modules within an existing SAN/iQ cluster. SAN/iQ software is currently available as a field integration offering through any authorized LeftHand Networks advantage partner. The suggested retail price of SAN/iQ field integration starts at $11,975.
