Fiso Technologies Launches New High-Speed Fiber Optic Signal Conditioner for Hero and EED Testing

QUEBEC, Quebec- October 9, 2008 - FISO Technologies Inc., a subsidiary of Roctest Ltd
(TSX: RTT) and a leading manufacturer of high-quality fiber optic sensors and measurement systems for challenging and demanding applications, today launched the FPI-HS/HE signal conditioner, a new generation module optimized to measure small current with more resolution and speed. This module has been developed for Hazardous Electromagnetic Radiation Ordnance (HERO) and Electro-Explosive Devices (EED) testing used in military, automotive and aerospace applications, such as in aircrafts and weapons systems.

"This new signal conditioner is intended to complete FISO's line of products for HERO and EED testing. The work of our experienced engineering team has allowed FISO to achieve an incredibly high acquisition rate with this system. The system is running at 15kHz, which is 60 times faster than the FPI-HERO, the first system of the EVOLUTION line of product dedicated to HERO testing," said Maxim Vachon-Savary, Product Line Manager at FISO Technologies.

The FPI-HS/HE fiber optic signal conditioner is compatible with FISO's FOT-HERO sensor. By using the Company's White-Light Interferometry technology and more advanced electrooptical components than the FPI-HERO, the FPI-HS/HE module achieves an acquisition rate 15 times faster than competitive technology. In addition, the built-in temperature compensation system of the FPI-HS/HE maintains the accuracy even when the test environment temperature varies. Recent advances in signal processing, software algorithms and sensor manufacturing process allow direct measurement of the induced current.
