Fiber Optic Collimators cover 3 different wavelengths.

Press Release Summary:

Fiber Optic Collimators, with diffraction-limited lenses, focus/collimate light exiting fiber to desired beam diameter or spot size, and can be used in pairs to couple input and output light of optical devices. Both models have FC or SMA connectors and molded aspheric glass lenses with AR coating for low back reflection. Collimators are housed in 303 stainless steel and are available in 488-633, 650-870 and 1064-1550nm.

New Fiber Optic Collimators Feature Easy Integration & Low Back Reflection

February 8, 2002, Barrington, NJ -- Edmund Industrial Optics (EO) of Barrington, New Jersey has released a new series of Collimators covering 3 wavelengths and featuring diffraction
limited lenses for high performance.

Designed to focus/collimate light exiting a fiber to a desired beam diameter or spot size, these components are available in either short or long focus models and can be used in pairs to
couple the input and output light of optical devices. Both models have FC or SMA connectors and molded aspheric glass lenses with an AR coating for low back reflection.

Housed in 303 stainless steel, these components are available in one of three wavelength ranges- Visible (488nm-633nm), Visible-Near IR (650nm-870nm) and IR (1064nm-1550nm). The diffraction limited lenses used in all models allows users to reach spot sizes down to a few microns.

Typical applications for these Collimators include fiber coupled lasers and pigtailed receptacles.
