New Fiber Optic Amplifiers Provide Scanning Versatility in Small Package



TWINSBURG, OH - Pepperl+Fuchs introduces the SU16 Series Fiber Optic Amplifiers. The DIN rail-mountable SU16 series delivers versatile, high performance scanning in a slim 10mm profile package. They are available in high power/high sensitivity models, or ultra-fast models with up to an 8 kHz switching frequency.

Users can easily fine-tune sensitivity of the unit by using a multi-turn potentiometer with an easy view indicator. The SU16 also features self-diagnostic LEDs and weak signal outputs, as well as mutual interference protection for enhanced detection stability and performance reliability.

o Scanning ranges up to 6 meters

o Response times as fast as 50 microseconds

o Easy fiber attachment with snap action lever, no tools required

o Built-in timer functions
