May 12, 2010 - Supporting single mode fiber (SMF-28), 9/125 micron fiber with wavelength of 1,310 nm, Model 6293 accesses any one of 3 separate fiber optic networks from one computer via pushbutton and remote ASCII control. All switched signals are passed via mirror relays that maintain position and continuity even in event of power loss or failure. Stackable, LC duplex switch also utilizes MEMS mirror switching, supporting OC12 speeds of 622 Mbps.

Stack Up Rackmount Switches for Dynamic Backup Applications


Electro Standards Laboratories (ESL), Cranston, RI, announces its new QuickSwitch® Model 6293 Single Mode, LC Duplex Fiber Optic A/B/C Switch with Remote Serial Access. This sleek switch accesses any one of three separate fiber optic networks from one computer via pushbutton and remote ASCII control. Multiple thin profile units stack in a standard rack enabling the user to get the most function from the least amount of computer room space.

The Model 6293 Fiber Optic Switch supports single mode fiber (SMF-28), 9/125 micron fiber with a wavelength of 1310 nm. All switched signals are passed via mirror relays that maintain their position and continuity even in the event of a power loss or failure. The M6293 also utilizes MEMS mirror switching, supporting OC12 speeds of 622 Mbps.
