Technifor Introduces Highly Compact Fiber Laser Marking Unit

Charlotte, NC August 22, 2008...Technifor Inc. announces its new compact and rugged TF420 fiber laser marking unit providing high contrast 2D Data Matrix codes, logos, barcodes, and human readable text at high speeds. Considered a universal marking solution, the TF420 is capable of printing on the most difficult materials such as cast aluminum and carbide while maintaining the precision to mark consumer products like cellular telephones and medical devices.

The compact marking head, about the size of a sheet of paper, is completely sealed and enclosed in a protective cast aluminum case allowing the system to be mounted in any orientation and adapting to existing integrations. Designed to utilize few optical components for increased reliability and featuring a longer source life MTBF 100,000 hours vs. MTBF 10,000 hours for diode-pumped models, the air cooled TF420 eliminates maintenance concerns and reduces costs. No PC is required during operation after the marking file has been created on the user-friendly T700W software in less than 5 clicks thus removing another component (the PC) and potential failure from the production floor. Boasting superior connectivity and data transfer along with a wide range of standard accessories the TF420 is also backed by superior service. Contact Technifor for samples, in plant demonstrations, or contract marking services.
