PTG Industries Releases First-of-Kind Desktop Fiber Laser Marking System

LAKE MARY, Fla. - March 24, 2006 - PTG Industries will unveil its latest product in its fiber laser suite at the International Sign Exposition 2006 in Orlando. Florida next month. The Desktop Fiber Laser Marking System is the first laser of its kind to have an integrated controller for the laser, Z-axis, and scan head. Additionally, the desktop configuration and size will provide for a smaller footprint for manufacturers across all industries.

The Fiber Tower Desktop features a very small footprint and compact height by being the first system in the industry to have the Z-axis and scan head controlled by the laser module itself. The light, compact Desktop system can be carried by one person providing for greater portability and ease of location. Another compelling advantage of the Desktop model is its ability to draw its power from a 100V AC outlet. Combined with its plug and play capabilities, these features enable users to set-up and begin producing high quality marks on production parts with unparalleled ease and convenience.

Advantages of the FiberTower Desktop Model include:
o Spot size is 90% smaller then CO2's, allowing for greater detail and accuracy in both cutting and marking
o State-of-the-art air-cooled fiber laser
o Consumable-free direct part marking on virtually any material
o Minimum 50,000 hours maintenance-free operation.
o Excellent beam quality (M2<1.05)

Attendees and media at this year's Sign Expo can contact PTG Industries to schedule a demo of the laser system by contacting Keith Carrington, Marketing Coordinator at kcarrington@ptgindustries.com or by phone at 407-804-1000 x 229 before April 5, 2006 or by visiting booth 326 during the show.
