Wheatland Tube Company Introduces New HS-83K - Strongest Galvanized Steel Fence Post on the Market

COLLINGSWOOD, NJ, - Wheatland Tube Company has set a new standard for high strength fence post with the introduction of their innovative High Strength, high security HS-83K fence framework. HS-83K is the strongest galvanized steel fence post available on the market. HS-83K was specifically developed to respond to two critical needs: to provide greater stability from wind loads, and to address the perimeter security concerns of the nation's high risk areas.

HS-83K is a galvanized pipe product made with high strength steel. The incorporation of 83,000 psi yield high strength steel produces a post 2.76 times stronger than Regular Grade ASTM F1083-06 schedule 40 pipe. HS-83K is listed in the ASTM F 1083-06 standard as High Strength 83000 Grade.

Measurable wind resistant properties make HS-83K ideally suited for tennis courts, baseball backstops and golf course barrier nets - especially in climates prone to higher wind gusts. The Wheatland company website, www.wheatland.com, features an exclusive, easy-to-use Wind Load Fence Post calculator. The tool allows users to select the proper size post, specification and post spacing to accommodate the wind load for any design or fabric, including solid fence. The Wind Load Calculator includes Wheatland's intermediate product, 50-K, for sizes 6-5/8" and larger.

Using high strength steel in the manufacture of the product gives HS-83K a significant advantage in high-risk perimeter security and homeland security installations. HS-83K can accommodate a greater variety of anti-intrusion, anti-climb fabrics at greater heights - without compromising strength.

The design size and spacing of HS-83K fence posts results in appreciable cost-savings over traditional fence posts, both in labor and materials. A HS-83K Post Savings Guide and HS-83K Footing Cost Savings Calculator are both available on the Wheatland website, to help determine savings.
