Taipei, Taiwan — Axiomtek, one of the world's leading designers and manufacturers of innovative, high performance and reliable PC-based industrial computer products, announced the arrival of the MPC152-832, its new medical panel PC. The MPC152-832 is a 15-inch, fanless, ultra-slim medical panel computer powered by the low-power Intel® Atom™ processor D2550 1.86GHz with the Intel® NM10 Express chipset. With UL60601-1/EN60601-1 medical certifications, this panel PC is ideal for nursing cart, point-of-care terminal, or infotainment terminal use in healthcare environments. It is equipped with a 15-inch XGA TFT LCD display with high brightness LED backlight (400nits). Its IPX1 compliant chassis and IP65/NEMA 4 rated spill- and dust-resistant front panel ensures easy cleaning and high reliability. This medical computing platform also offers a variety of I/O connections including RS-232/422/485, isolated RS-232, USB, DisplayPort, PCI Express Mini Card, and Gigabit Ethernet for easy connectivity with existing or new hospital systems. Ultra-Slim Design for Easy Integration
The MPC152-832 is 2.14" thick and weight only 7.05 lb. For flexible installation, the medical panel PC can be panel mounted, wall mounted, VESA mounted, or desk mounted.
Water/Dust-proof and Anti-vibration Design
The MPC152-832 offers IP65 compliant plastic front bezel and full enclosure IPX1 designed to prevent damage from dust and water. Its vibration resistant feature of up to 2Grms (with CompactFlash™) allows for stable and reliable operations.
Wireless Capability for Real-Time Communications and Data Processing
The new 15-inch medical PC offers a PCI Express Mini Card slot and a built-in WLAN antenna for wireless network connectivity. By plugging in the WLAN Mini Card, users can have instant access to wireless LAN/GPRS/GSM/3G. The wireless network connection allows for real-time patient data checking and processing in the healthcare environment.
Power Input for Medical Application
The MPC152-832’s power supply requirement suits for all types of medical environment. The panel’s flexible design provides two types of power inputs, a medical grade AC power adapter with screw type connector and a DC power input (12/24VDC) with terminal block connector.
The MPC152-832 supports one DDR3 SO-DIMM slot with up to 4GB memory and features one 2.5" SATA HDD and CompactFlash™ socket. Its rich I/O connections include two COM ports (One isolated RS-232 & one RS-232/422/485), four USB 2.0 ports, two Gigabit LANs, audio (Line-out), and DisplayPort. This advanced, ultra-slim panel features a built-in fuse for overcurrent protection and supports the most popular operating systems including Windows®7 Embedded Standard and Windows® 7 (32-bit).
