New Extruder Features Swivel View Control Cabinet
Tallmadge, OH: Diamond America Corporation, a builder of extruders, screws, barrels and extrusion dies, has recently introduced an extruder equipped with a unique swivel view control cabinet.
The Diamond America Swivel View Control Cabinet rotates 90 degrees and permits the operator complete access to the controls when standing downstream of the extruder. While this cabinet is useful in many applications, it is especially helpful in crosshead wire and cable extrusion processes.
The first Swivel View Cabinet was installed on a 2", 24:1 extruder (Model TL 200), but it can be included as optional equipment on any extruder up to 3.5 ", 30:1.
According to Thomas B. Allen, president of Diamond America, "Like our Swing Arm control system, the Swivel View system makes the extruder operations easier and faster, especially during set up and change over times."
