May 16, 2005 - Model TL250, 2½ dia, 24:1 single screw thermoplastic extruder is designed to be compatible with screws from other extruder manufacturers. Equipped with either ac or dc drive and motor, unit features ampere meter in each heating zone to indicate heater failure. Spill-proof hopper gate eliminates spillage of materials during shutdown or changeover of materials or dies. TL250 is suitable for applications that include profile, tube, palletizing and sheet.

New Extruder Designed For Interchangeable Screw Compatibility
Akron, OH: Diamond America Corp., a manufacturer of thermoplastic extruders, has recently introduced a new line of single screw extruders designed for compatibility with screws from other extruder manufacturers.
According to Tom Allen, president of Diamond America, “Many of our customers are running one brand of extruder. To change to a different brand of extruder would mean that they would have to stock a spare screw for each brand. We have eliminated this problem by designing our new extruder to have screw compatibility with other brands of extruders of the same size. This saves processors both time and money.â€
The first extruder in this series is a model TL250, 2 ½ diameter, 24:1. However, the screw compatible extruder is available in all sizes and can be equipped with either AC or DC drive and motor.
All units are built with amp meters in each heating zone to indicate heater failure and are equipped with Diamond America’s unique spill-proof hopper gate. This unit eliminates spillage of materials during shutdown or changeover of materials or dies.
The model TL250 is suitable for applications that include profile, tube, palletizing and sheet.
