Products have 90-264 Vac auto-switching universal input, provide 4,000 Vac I/O isolation, and operate at 83% typ efficiency. Rated 12-30 W, splash-proof units are protected against overvoltage and overcurrent and provide Line/Load regulation of ±3-7%.

ASTRODYNE has introduced a medically approved series of 12 to 30 Watt Desktop External Switching Power Adapters. The MPU30 series offers single, dual, and triple outputs in voltages from 2.5 to 48VDC and all accept Universal Input of 90-264 VAC. These desktop switching adapters are ideal for use with hospital instrumentation, desktop peripherals, printers, and test equipment. The adapters provide Line/Load regulation of +/-3 to 7%, low Ripple/Noise of 0.5% (typical), over voltage and over current protection, and operate at a typical efficiency of 83%. Output connection is made via a standard coaxial plug (Single Output Models) or 5 Pin DIN (Multi-Output Models) connectors. The adapters also provide I/O isolation of 4000VAC and have full cUL (60601-1), TUV (EN60601-1), IEC safety certification and meet VDE/FCC Part 15/Level B EMI/RFI requirements.
