LarsonElectronics.com Adds Skinny Explosion Proof Light Cart to Its Lineup

A leader in the industrial lighting field for over 40 years, Larson Electronics has announced the addition of a cart mounted light with swiveling low profile LED fixture to its explosion proof lighting lineup. The EPLCD-48-100LED Explosion Proof Dolly Cart Light is one of the latest in explosion proof LED designs from Larson Electronics and provides high maneuverability combined with high output and hazardous location compliance. Ideal for industrial and commercial applications where flammable vapors and gases may be present, this cart mounted lighting system is well suited to applications where high mobility and output is a must.

Larson Electronics’ EPLCD-48-100LED low profile explosion proof LED dolly cart light is designed to provide operators in hazardous locations with an easily maneuvered source of high output lighting that meets compliance with Class 1 Division 2 hazardous location regulations. This cart mounted lighting system features a light weight aluminum dolly cart fitted with solid wheels and a high output, low profile, LED fixture mounted to a swivel bracket that allows the fixture to be adjusted through 360 degrees of rotation and 180 degrees of pivot while attached to the cart. This versatile explosion proof lighting system allows operators to wheel the entire unit wherever it is needed and then swivel the lamp assembly to provide optimum coverage of the target area. This arrangement is also well suited for use in containers and tanks where access is through standard sized entry ways as users can fit the unit through manways, then swivel the lamp parallel to the floor for optimal illumination. The cart can also be tilted back and rolled underneath equipment and into low hang areas and laid flat, effectively illuminating hard to access areas. The LED lamp assembly consists of a T4 temperature rated, Class 1 Division 1, Groups C and D approved fixture rated at 100 watts and produces 7,000 lumens.  This lamp carries an above average 100,000 hour operational life rating and the solid state design and rugged housing construction provides excellent resistance to abusive conditions as well as vibration and impacts. This light operates with standard 120-277VAC 50/60 hz current and is ideal for plant and facility maintenance, tank and container servicing and cleaning, utilities work, and any application where an easily maneuvered explosion proof light is needed.

“This explosion proof LED light cart was specifically designed to meet the requests of customers looking for lightweight, high output lights for hazardous area tank work,” said Rob Bresnahan with LarsonElectronics.com.  “The narrow, lightweight form factor is ideal for passing this light through 18 inch and 24 inch man-ways.  Once inside, the light can be deployed within one minute to cover a really wide area.  Finally, it is easy to store, transport and carry, which makes it an ideal solution for tank cleaning applications.”
