Larson Electronics Magnalight Announces Addition of LED Equipped Explosion Proof Emergency Light

Larson Electronics' Magnalight.com has announced today the addition of an LED equipped explosion proof emergency light for wet and corrosive locations. Designed for reliable operation in wet and corrosive environments, the Halp-emg-48-2l-led emergency light provides instant backup lighting operation capability as well as improved light output with an included battery backup and LED tube lamps.

Larson Electronics' Magnalight.com has announced the addition of the Halp-emg-48-2l-led Class 1 Division 2 emergency LED light to its line of explosion proof LED lighting equipment. Designed to stand up to the rigors of wet and damaging marine environments, this unit is constructed with a glass fiber reinforced polyester housing, poured sealing gasket, impact resistant acrylic diffuser, and stainless steel mounting hardware for protection against rust and corrosion. This emergency light is four feet long and produces more light than comparable fluorescent units through the inclusion of Magnalight's special LED tube lamps which produce twice as much light as T5-HO lamps when measured at 8 feet with an Extech light meter. As well as improved output, the LED lamps in this unit offer a 50,000 hour operating life and increased resistance to damage from impacts and vibrations. These explosion proof LED lights are designed to provide emergency operation during power failures through the addition of an integral battery backup system. This battery backup is automatically kept in a ready and full charged state while normal power conditions exist, and is activated when a power failure occurs. The battery backup will power this unit for 90 minutes when power is cut, and allows operators to maintain safety in the event of blackout conditions. This emergency LED light is multi-voltage capable and can operate with voltages ranging from 120 to 277 VAC. Approvals for these LED lights include UL 844, and Class 1 Division 2, Groups A, B, C, D, and UL 1598A outdoor marine type..

"The Halp-emg-48-2l-led was designed to handle marine environments with their wet and corrosive conditions," said Rob Bresnahan with Larson Electronics' Magnalight.com. "This fixture has the added safety feature of a battery backup that is capable of 90 minutes emergency runtime. The Class 1 Division 1 light is UL 844 and UL 1598A outdoor marine rating and meets US Coast Guard specifications. Operators requiring fixtures for damp locations will find the Halp-emg-48-2l-led a good match for petrochemical facilities, processing plants and marine loading docks."

Larson Electronics' Magnalight produces a wide range of intrinsically safe LED lights, explosion proof LED work lights, portable LED light towers, explosion proof flashlights and LED trouble lights.
