Made from PUR-coated aluminum, Exd explosion-proof housing option meets industry standards for ingress protection to IP65 and NEMA 4X for enclosing indoor/outdoor electronic instruments. Operator interface is achieved via 4 momentary action push buttons, externally mounted, which enable non-invasive contact with instrument. Housing is also certified ISSeP-ATEX flame-proof; IIGD EEx d IIC factory mutual explosion-proof; class1, Div1, groups A/B/C/D; and SAA flameproof, Ex d IIC.

Exd Explosion-Proof Housing for Trimec Flow Instruments
Flow metering specialists TRIMEC-EUROPE have introduced a new Exd explosion proof housing option which can be specified for its range of field mounted flow instruments. The explosion-proof housing is made from robust polyurethane coated aluminium and meets industry standards (NEMA 4X) for ingress protection to IP65 and NEMA 4X for enclosing indoor and outdoor electronic instruments.
Operator interface is achieved via four large momentary action push buttons externally mounted, which enable non-invasive contact with the instrument using magnets. Also, users can view and operate the desired program without the need to remove the cover. The housing is compact and lightweight and is available as either a surface mount, pipe mount or rack mount options.
The Exd housing is certified ISSeP-ATEX flame-proof, IIGD EEx d IIC for factory mutual explosion-proof, class1, Div1, groups A,B,C and D, and SAA flameproof, Ex d IIC. It can be specified for a wide range of Trimec flow instruments including battery totalisers, automatic batch controllers and the rate totaliser with 4-20mA, alarm and scaleable outputs, dual flow inputs and linearisation.
