Edlon® Introduces Cable Style Expansion Joints

Avondale, PA – Edlon® cable style expansion joints feature high quality limit cables in place of the typical limit bolts. These cables facilitate easy installation between fixed flanges and the joint can easily be compressed and bolted in place without interference from integral limit bolts.

Edlon cable style expansion joints are manufactured with high strength stainless steel cable restraints to prevent over extension of the expansion joint and provide for easy installation. The cable style expansion joints, part of Edlon’s complete line of expansion joint products, are available in diameters ranging from one inch through 12 inches having from two, three and five convolutes.

Edlon expansion joints are typically placed where piping stresses, misalignment and expansion could present problems. The expansion joint is intended to compensate for the axial, lateral and angular movements that occur between two anchored points in a pipeline. Edlon’s expansion joints also provide excellent noise attenuation and vibration absorption.

Cable style expansion joints feature:

• Round, flat faced, epoxy coated, steel flanges

• Type 316 stainless steel reinforcing rings

• Molded bellows that minimize micro-voids

• Isotropic physical properties
