October 27, 2004 - Offered in EPDM and Nitrile tube materials, Model 320EZ™ compensates for movements in piping systems due to thermal and mechanical vibration and growth, protecting pipes and flanges from pre-mature cracking and breakage. Ranging in size from 1–20 in. ID, expansion joint can replace filled arch, flowing arch, standard, and wide arch designs. Lower spring rates and reaction forces allow customers to use lighter anchoring system and less reinforcement.

New Rubber Expansion Joint Offers Lowest ‘Forces to Deflect’ In the Industry

Holz Rubber Company’s 320EZ™ Rubber Expansion Joint Solves Potential Vibration, Noise, Shock, Corrosion, Motion & Stress Problems

Lodi, CA – October 20, 2004 – Holz Rubber Company has introduced the addition of the 320EZ Rubber Expansion joint to its line of expansion joint products.

Rubber expansion joints are flexible connectors fabricated of elastomers designed to compensate for movements in piping systems due to thermal and mechanical vibration and growth. An expansion joint system protects pipes and flanges from
pre-mature cracking, and breakage.

The Holz 320EZ Rubber Expansion Joint’s unique, lightweight elastomer composition and construction allows it to move very easily, (EZ’), and with less effort than traditional expansion joints, creating lower stresses on flanges and other piping components. Yet, the Holz 320EZ offers higher pressure capabilities to go along with the best flexibility. Additionally, the ease in which the Holz 320EZ can be handled makes installation easier and less time consuming than traditional expansion joints.

Applications requiring numerous pressure designs can be replaced with the Holz 320EZ saving installation time, money and potential downtime. Filled arch, flowing arch, standard and wide arch designs may also be replaced with Holz 320EZ Rubber Expansion Joints. Lower spring rates and reaction forces of Holz 320EZ allow customers to save money and time by using lighter anchoring system and less reinforcement on the piping and flanges.

Holz 320EZ Rubber Expansion Joints provide excellent movements in compression, extension, lateral and angular deflection, torsional and are available in sizes from 1-1/2” ID though 20”ID. A choice of tube materials in stock are EPDM and Nitrile. Other elastomers are available upon request. All sizes are inventoried with ANSI 150# drilled flanges. Other drill patterns are available upon request.

Other expansion joints offered by Holz include traditional spool type, eccentric or concentric reducers and offset designs, spherical arch and non-metallic ducting joints.
