March 14, 2003 - UL-listed, CSA-approved Model XJG-TB Rigid Conduit Expansion Coupling speeds installation of expansion fittings in long runs of conduit. No disassembly is required during installation. Internal bonding jumper eliminates need for external jumper that can be tampered with and exposed to corrosion. Copper-braid jumper acts as fault current carrier and passes UL ground fault test. Sizes range from ??5 in.

T&B? XJG-TB Expansion Coupling for Rigid Conduit Simplifies and Speeds Installation


MEMPHIS, Tennessee, March 10, 2003 ? Thomas & Betts introduces the T&B? XJG-TB Rigid Conduit Expansion Coupling. This innovative coupling, which has a patent pending, simplifies and speeds the job of installing expansion fittings in long runs of conduit. No disassembly is required during installation, therefore there are no parts to drop or lose and fewer tools are required. The T&B? XJG-TB Expansion Coupling has a unique internal bonding jumper, which eliminates the need for an external jumper that can be tampered with and exposed to corrosion. This copper braid jumper is a superior fault current carrier and passes the UL ground fault test.

The T&B? XJG-TB Expansion Coupling, which is UL listed and CSA approved, extends the already comprehensive Thomas & Betts rigid conduit fitting line and is available in a range of sizes from 3/4? to 5?. The T&B? XJG-TB also satisfies articles 250.98 and 300.7 of the National Electrical Code and complies with UL514B.
